About Me

Hello! My name is Claire Clark, and I am an aspiring public relations professional with an interest in the intersection of marketing and public relations. As a senior at LSU Manship School of Mass Communication, with a concentration in public relations, I’ve had the pleasure of learning from seasoned industry professionals. My coursework there has strengthened my understanding of media relations, crisis communication and integrated communications, while my projects have allowed me to apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios. Recently, I had the opportunity to lead two focus groups and develop a survey disseminated to the student body here at LSU.

Outside of school, I gained hands-on experience as a social media marketing intern at Surety Bond Girls, LLC. This internship gave me valuable insight into how my academic background translates into real-world applications. During my time there, I contributed to numerous projects where I was able to apply my learned skills, such as social media content creation and the development of engagement strategies. This role, combined with my academic background, has deepened my understanding of how marketing and public relations can work together to build and maintain a brand's online presence.

As an active member of the Alpha Phi Delta Tau chapter at LSU, I understand the importance of community, innovation and character. This organization has offered friendships that will last a lifetime, and instilled the confidence to excel in my pursuits. Because of my time in this chapter, I thrive in collaborative environments and bring a driven, creative approach to every opportunity.

I hold certifications in content marketing from HubSpot Academy and fundamentals of media relations from Muck Rack, and am always looking for new opportunities to expand my knowledge of the industry. I believe I have developed a strong foundation within the marketing and communication field and am eager to continue growing my skills in future opportunities. I am actively seeking full time employment following my graduation in May of this year.

EXPERIENCE

EXPERIENCE

May 2025 - August 2025

Insurance Intern

Surety Bond Girls, Alpharetta, GA

My time as an insurance intern was all about balancing the technical side of surety bonds and insurance with the human side of client service. I made sure our database stayed updated so the underwriting team never fell behind, and I acted as a bridge for agents needing help with policy details. It was a great experience that took me from learning the basics of contracts to helping issue bonds for our clients.

June 2024 - September 2024

Quality Systems Intern

MiMedx Group, Atlanta, GA

I assisted in documenting and processing Technical Use Reports (TUR) cards to track product performance and quality metrics. By accurately entering data into the Quality Management System (QMS), I ensured compliance and contributed to the integrity of the company’s quality control processes.

April 2023 - August 2023

Surety Bond Girls, Alpharetta, GA

Social Media Intern

As a social media intern, I effectively handled client inquiries and upheld professional communication to build strong relationships. I collected weekly performance data using Excel, providing valuable insights for our monthly strategy meetings. Additionally, I designed attractive content with Canva to boost engagement across various platforms.
